Hector Garcia is a film and media composer and cellist from Mexico, dedicated to transforming and creating art that transcends boundaries. With a passion for connecting music and visual media, he draws from diverse instruments, genres, and fields to craft experiences that impact audiences. His work is rooted in collaboration and understanding, always building bridges through sound. From a young age, he found warmth and inspiration in music, first through records and the guitar, and later by performing with classmates in bands that blended traditional Mexican songs with global hits. These early moments fostered a strong collaborative spirit and unity on stage, supported by inspiring teachers and mentors who guided his growth. His musical path expanded when he embraced the cello, which allowed him to join larger ensembles and orchestras. This brought him to the United States, where he is pursuing a degree in Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. Here, under the guidance of cellist Jeremy Harman, he has refined his artistry as both performer and composer. At Berklee, he has contributed as a cellist to a wide range of recording sessions and ensembles and as a composer, Hector has conducted his own recording sessions for film scoring projects, further cementing his role as a collaborator and leader. Currently completing his degree in Film Scoring, Hector continues to embrace opportunities to collaborate and innovate as a composer and cellist, committed to using music as a vehicle for connection.
